Because of the COVID pandemic, Google had canceled the Google I/O event last year. This year in 2021, Google has announced the event and the event is going to start on 18th May and will end on 20th May 2021. The event is going to be a completely virtual event where everyone can join. Basically, it’s open for everyone. You can register with your Google account.

Google may announce Google Pixel 5a in the upcoming event. Last year there was a rumor about the cancellation of the Pixel 5a, but Google has denied that. The Pixel 5a 5G is rumored to pack a 6.2-inch Full-HD+ OLED display with the same Snapdragon 765 SoC seen on the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5. A Google spokesperson has already confirmed that the Pixel 5a 5G will be limited to the U.S. and Japan.

Whitechapel Chipset:
Google may launch its own chipset which was rumored last year. It will be an Octa-core chipset manufactured on Samsung’s 5nm process. Though the chipset announcement is not yet confirmed but there is a strong rumor of the new chipset. Google may ditch the Snapdragon and can launch its upcoming devices with the new processor.
