The third generation foldable smartphone from Samsung has been launched today i.e Galaxy Z Fold 2. Today, at the second edition of the Unpacked Event 2020, Samsung officially launches the Galaxy Z Fold 2 in the global market at $1,999 (approximately Rs 1,46,086).
The device will be available in USA from September 18 but you can pre-order it from today on words.
Last year in September, Samsung launched the Fold for the first time and after that the company launched the Z flip in Feb 2020 and now Samsung launched the Z fold 2 which is the successor to the Z fold.
Galaxy Z Fold 2 sports two displays: one 6.2-inch HD+ Infinity-O Super AMOLED display on the outer shell, and the second 7.6-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED flexible glass display on the inside. Both the displays are comparatively larger than its predecessor, Galaxy Fold’s 4.6-inch and 7.3-inch displays. The display supports 120HZ refresh rate similar to the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.
The Galaxy Z fold 2 sports a 7nm processor but the comapany has not revealed the name of the processor. But its being said that its having the Snapdragon 865+ which is also there in the Galaxy Note 20 lineup. It comes with 12GB of RAM paired with 256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 internal storage.
The Galaxy Z fold 2 has 5 cameras. The primary module has 3 cameras whereas, one sensor each has been embedded as a hole punch in each of the displays.
The primary camera module has 3 cameras ( 12-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a pixel size of 1.8-micron; a second 12-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a pixel size of 1.12-micron and a third 12-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture.). The other 2 cameras are 10 mp sensors.
The phone is powered by a 4500mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 supports wireless charging, as well as proprietary fast charging. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 runs One UI 2.5 based on Android 10.
There are 2 color options are available, Mystic Black and Mystic Bronze.
