Apple iPhone SE is now being assembled in India officially. Apple has officially confirmed that iPhone SE will now being assembled in India. One of Apple’s suppliers, Wistron, is assembling the iPhone SE 2020 in its Karnataka facility.
Apple started assembling iPhone in India in 2017. In 2017 Apple started with the first generation iPhone SE. Though the phone was old but with the reduced price, it attracted India market and the phone performed well in India with a reduced price.
In 2019, Apple’s partner Foxconn started assembling the iPhone XR at its plant in Chennai. This was a more recent phone and showed how Cupertino had started taking the Indian market more seriously.
In 2020, Apple started assembling iPhone 11 in Chennai plant. Now assembling of iPhone SE has started in Karnataka plan. That means Apple is taking India market seriously for the business expansion.
Can we see any price drop??
As per the previous track record, we will see price drop in the latest iPhone SE but not now. Apple has its own pricing strategy globally. But we can see a price drop in after the release of Apple’s upcoming iPhone 12 series.
